Exactly. I was not a fan of Pence before J6 but he acted honorably on that day. Until late in 2022 I wasn’t convinced he had a chance, but a political analyst I respect told me he thought Pence had a narrow path. I like his position on Social Security and Ukraine, and his speech about a time for choosing was at least offering the right message.

But recently I saw a poll showing he has the highest (near supermajority levels) unfavorable ratings among Iowa Evangelicals (self-described). That, to me, was the nail in the coffin and I no longer think he has a chance. Still, anything could happen.
