Think Ben absolutely captured the schism, and the reasoning of those (another Freemen News contributor) who are going with a write in (Ben Sasse). Though I understand the Bulwark position I do not believe you fight fire with fire, but rather with water.

We are also seeing an interesting scope creep of the Never Trumpers as Liz Cheney has declared for Ted Cruz' Democratic opponent in Texas. I have little doubt that if Harris captures unified government, either now in 2026 when the Senate map favors the Dems, we can imagine court packing, PR and DC statehood, fracking bans and another run at single payer health. All of this ALMOST makes me want to vote for Trump. Along with the Capitol riot Trump's meddling the past four years cost the GOP a Senate majority that should be nearing the 55 seats they had BEFORE Trump. Both Trump's being more a populist/liberal than a conservative, and all the losing, means the write in stays.

Cruz, a man who now celebrates the man who insulted his wife, is not my cup of tea, but he is not Trump. If I lived in TX, I would vote for him.

I also am likely doing a write-in. If I was living in a swing state, I would likely choose the better (from my perspective) of the two horrible options at the top of the ballot. The winner of my state is already a foregone conclusion, so I'd rather write in someone who more truly represents my right-leaning views -- someone who especially sees how vital it is to fully support both Ukraine and Israel at this time. At least, if I am doing that, I hope others in my state will do the same and a message can be sent to the party that not everyone will fall in line behind Trump.
