I understand the reason why qualified immunity exists but also recognize that it's current provisions are far too strong. I hesitate to support its complete removal but I do think it needs revision.
Interesting. That makes sense and strikes me as balanced. I’d prefer to get rid of it and instead to focus our efforts on more training and resources that might go a long way towards helping officers in some of those more difficult situations.
